Anime Central 2012 (Abbreviated ACen)

Anime Central (Abbreviated ACen) is an anime convention that is held yearly in Rosemont, Illinois, United States. It is one of the fastest growing anime conventions in the U.S. and has ranked as the 3rd largest North American anime convention since 2010. The convention is like many other anime conventions; it runs 24 hours a day and lasts 3 days. The Anime Central staff brings in guests from America and Japan that have worked in the anime and manga industry. There are also video viewing rooms where attendees can catch episodes of many different anime series, an exhibit hall featuring both vendors and artist's selling a variety of goods, and thousands of cosplayers that walk around showing off their costumes.

History

In April 1996 the Midwest Animation Promotion Society (MAPS) was incorporated by a group of individuals from a Chicago based anime club. After two years of planning, the first ACen was held in April 1998 at the Holiday Inn International O'Hare hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. Its attendance was a little over 1,000 people. The Midwest Animation Promotion Society, (MAPS), is a 501(c)(3) Educational Non Profit Organization.

In its more recent years the convention has moved to May and is held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare also in Rosemont, Illinois

En los EEUU es el pais donde mas convenciones de manga y anime se realizan al año inclusive mas que en japon, seria lindo algun dia poder asistir a uno de ellos y si es en el Comiket en Tokyo seria un sueño

No se puede comparar los eventos de calidad que hacen afuera con los que hacen aqui que son de principiantes ¬¬ ya no quiero ir mas a esos tonos encima que son caros dan un espectaculo que da risa por decir lo menos, comenzare a horrar para acompañar a Kana, bueno si es que ella acepta.
